Overview

The APC SMX3000HVTUS is a 3 kVA / 2700 W line-interactive UPS in a 4U rack/tower convertible form factor (short depth) built for 208 V environments.  It delivers pure sine-wave output and supports extended runtime via external battery packs. This unit adapts automatically to different voltage conditions, with user-selectable operating ranges, and provides voltage regulation to correct sags and surges without switching to battery mode.  It includes monitoring and management capability via a SmartSlot card (optional) and features such as periodic self-test, automatic restart after power return, and battery health alerts.In deployment, it fits well in small data centers, network closets, or edge sites where depth is constrained. Because of its short depth chassis, it’s easier to mount in tight-depth racks without interfering cables. You can scale the runtime by daisy-chaining external battery packs (up to 10) if longer backup is needed for servers, storage, or core network devices.
