H3 Overview

The HPE AF651A is an analog console KVM switch designed for infrastructure engineers who need local management of multiple rack-mounted servers via a single keyboard, video and mouse interface. It supports up to 8 server ports and provides access to reduce rack-based console clutter while consolidating physical console access. The unit mounts in a standard 19-inch rack (1U height) and includes a rack-mount kit for zero-U side-rail or rear-rack mounting in addition to front-mount. It accepts USB keyboard/mouse interface and VGA monitor connection, and uses CAT5 cabling to each connected server. The control interface features On-Screen Display (OSD) menus, programmable server scanning and the option to upgrade to KVM-over-IP with a USB remote access key. The AF651A is suited for small to medium server-room installations, edge racks or dedicated management racks in data-centre environments where simple, cost-effective local console access is required.
