The StarTech C10043-USB-EXTENDER is a USB 2.0 extender system that enables remote USB device connectivity over Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, extending up to 100 m (328 ft) between host and remote endpoint. It converts a single USB host connection into four remote USB ports, allowing centralized system control while placing peripherals at a distance.

Designed for environments such as industrial control systems, security stations, kiosks, and remote workstation setups, it supports standard USB devices including keyboards, mice, storage, and cameras. The extender operates without drivers and maintains stable USB communication over long distances using structured cabling.

Deployment is suited for point-to-point USB extension scenarios where direct cabling is impractical. It is not intended for high-bandwidth USB 3.x applications, hub-chaining environments, or IP-based USB routing.
