Overview :

The Eaton SR25UB is a 25U floor-standing rack enclosure designed for deploying standard 19-inch IT and network equipment in controlled environments. It is used by data center engineers, system integrators, and network administrators to provide structured mounting, airflow management, and physical security for rack-based infrastructure. The enclosure is intended for mid-density deployments requiring more capacity than compact racks while maintaining a reduced height footprint.

This cabinet supports 25U of rack space and accommodates equipment depths up to 37 inches (1050 mm). It provides a high load capacity of up to 3000 lb (1360 kg) stationary and 2250 lb rolling, enabling installation of dense server, UPS, and network hardware configurations. Adjustable vertical mounting rails allow depth configuration from shallow equipment to full-depth servers, supporting mixed hardware deployments within a single enclosure.

The SR25UB is typically deployed in edge data centers, enterprise branch locations, IDF/MDF rooms, and small server rooms where a half-height enclosure is preferred for space or accessibility constraints. Its form factor allows easier transport through standard doorways and simplifies installation in confined environments compared to full-height racks.

Integration aligns with EIA-310 compliant 19-inch rack ecosystems using square-hole mounting rails for universal compatibility. The enclosure includes top and bottom cable entry points to support structured power and network routing, and perforated doors to promote front-to-rear airflow for passive cooling. It integrates with rack PDUs, UPS systems, and cable management accessories within standard single-phase or three-phase rack power architectures.

In a practical deployment, the SR25UB is used in a distributed enterprise site to house rack servers, core switches, and rack-mounted UPS systems. Adjustable rails allow alignment of deeper servers while maintaining proper cable routing and airflow separation. The locking doors and side panels provide controlled access in shared IT environments.

This enclosure is not suitable for high-density hyperscale deployments requiring 42U or larger racks with hot/cold aisle containment. It is also not intended for wall-mounted installations or ultra-shallow equipment scenarios where depth-optimized enclosures are required.
