Overview :

The Eaton SRW18US is an 18U wall‑mount rack enclosure engineered to house standard 19″ rack‑mount IT and networking equipment in environments where floor space is limited. Infrastructure and network engineers deploy this SmartRack cabinet in wiring closets, retail backrooms, classrooms, shop floors, and branch offices to organize, secure and protect switches, routers, patch panels, small servers, and related gear.

Constructed from heavy‑duty, powder‑coated steel, it supports up to 250 lb (113.4 kg) of equipment with vertical rack rails adjustable in 7/8″ increments to accommodate device depths up to 20.5 in (520 mm). Flow‑through ventilation in the front door, sides, top and bottom promotes passive airflow for installed components.

Physically designed to mount directly to a wall surface, the enclosure features a hinged back that swings away from the wall on installation and maintenance, enabling easier rear access for cabling and equipment changes without full disassembly. Numbered EIA‑310 compliant rack spaces and standard square/12‑24 threaded holes simplify device installation.

Integration includes lockable front door and removable side panels for security, top/bottom cable entry ports for structured routing, and compatibility with optional SRCASTER rolling caster kit for mobility if rack placement moves off the wall.

In practical deployment, SRW18US is suited where secure, space‑efficient rack infrastructure is required: IDF/network closets in offices, PoE switch and cabinet consolidation in retail, AV and classroom gear housing, or edge computing nodes. It is not appropriate for deep or heavy rack servers exceeding 20.5″ (520 mm) depth or where full‑height floor racks (42U+) are needed for extensive compute/storage deployments.
