Overview

The Eaton SRW12USDP is a wall‑mount rack enclosure designed to secure and organize standard 19‑inch rack equipment in constrained spaces such as network closets, retail closets, classrooms, back offices, or edge wiring rooms. It is deployed where floor space is limited and where physical protection of network, UPS, or server equipment is required without a full server rack footprint. It supports IT technicians, network operations teams, and facilities personnel with a compact, hardened mounting platform.

This cabinet supports up to 12 rack units (12U) of EIA‑310‑compliant equipment with adjustable vertical mounting rails. It is sized for UPS‑depth devices and switches up to 24.5 in (622 mm) deep. The enclosure’s load capacity is 200 lb (≈91 kg) static, enabling installation of battery‑backed power systems and network gear together in a single wall‑mounted footprint.

Designed for fixed mount deployments, the SRW12USDP swings outward from the wall on a hinged backplate, providing access to rear cabling and equipment during installation and maintenance. Side, front, top, and bottom panels are vented to allow passive airflow and cooling without forcing additional airflow components.

The enclosure integrates with standard 19‑inch rack mount hardware using square and 12‑24 threaded mounting holes, plus numbered rack spaces for repeatable and orderly equipment installation. Panels lock with included keys to deter tampering or unauthorized access in shared or public environments.

In a typical deployment, SRW12USDP is used to mount a UPS and a small aggregation switch in a branch wiring closet or retail point‑of‑sale closet, with structured cabling routed through the top and bottom cable access openings. It is not suitable for large server arrays, blade chassis, or equipment requiring active cooling fans due to limited ventilation and depth constraints beyond 24.5 in.
