It connects via a NEMA 5-20P plug and includes a 15 ft (4.57 m) power cord, enabling flexible placement relative to upstream power sources. A built-in 20A circuit breaker and lighted switch with locking cover provide controlled power distribution and protection against overload conditions.

The PS7224-20 is commonly deployed in IDF closets, network racks, telecom cabinets, and industrial workbenches where multiple low-to-mid power devices such as switches, routers, and lab equipment require centralized power access.
