Overview

The Eaton PS3612 is a basic rack‑mountable power strip designed to distribute AC power to multiple IT devices from a single 120 V feed. It is deployed by network and systems engineers where consolidated power access points are needed in racks, raceways, or workstations without advanced monitoring or surge protection.

This strip provides twelve NEMA 5‑15R outlets on a 36 in (91 cm) vertical housing fed by a 15 ft (4.57 m) cord and NEMA 5‑15P plug. It supports 15 A continuous current at 120 V AC, suitable for typical office, telecom, and light data‑center equipment distributions. A lighted switch with a transparent locking cover and integrated 15 A circuit breaker offers basic control and overload protection.

The unit is appropriate for deployment in 19‑inch rack cabinets, structured cabling raceways, and equipment benches where multiple devices require a common 120 V power source. Its vertical profile allows space‑efficient mounting alongside racks or enclosed cabinets.

This unit should not be used as a surge protector; it has no transient suppression rating. It is also not suitable for 208–240 V systems or where metered, switched, or network‑managed power distribution is required.
