Overview

APC AP9879 is a rack power interconnect cable designed to link power distribution units (PDUs), UPS outlets, and other IEC‑standard equipment in IT infrastructure environments. It is deployed by data center engineers and facilities technicians to maintain reliable power continuity between rack devices where standardized IEC connectivity is required. This cable solves the need for a reliable, serviceable jumper between PDUs and loads without non‑standard adapters.

The cord is rated for up to 10 A line current and 230 V AC operation, suitable for typical server, switch, and PDU power levels in most enterprise racks. It uses an IEC 60320 C20 male connector on the source end feeding an IEC 60320 C13 female receptacle on the load end. Cable length provides about 2.0 m reach for flexible routing within 42U and larger enclosures.

AP9879 fits horizontally within an IT rack or cabinet and is intended for structured cable runs in intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), main distribution frames (MDFs), and edge compute racks.
