The APC AP8704R‑NA is a rack power cord kit comprising six locking IEC jumper cables used to connect rack‑mount power distribution units (PDUs) to IT equipment with IEC input receptacles. This component is deployed by data center technicians and infrastructure engineers where secure power retention is needed to avoid unintended disconnections in dense rack environments.

Each cord uses an IEC 60320 C14 male plug paired with an IEC 60320 C13 female connector. The locking feature engages with compatible locking receptacles — typically on APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs or equipment with matching IEC locking ports — anchoring the connection under movement or service activity to reduce pull‑out risk.

With a 1.2 m (4 ft) length, AP8704R‑NA accommodates connections where the PDU outlets and equipment inlets reside within the same cabinet or across adjacent rack depths, offering extended reach without excessive slack that could impede cable management and airflow.
