The Eaton PDUH20‑ISO is a basic power distribution unit intended for IT and network infrastructure where essential AC power distribution and surge suppression are required without metering or advanced networking features. It is deployed by datacenter engineers, telecom facilities teams, and rack install technicians to distribute AC mains to multiple rack devices from a single feed, reducing outlet clutter and improving structured power delivery.

This unit handles single‑phase 120 V AC, up to 20 A input current and ≈2 kW output capacity, feeding up to 14 receptacles via a 15 ft (4.57 m) power cord with a NEMA L5‑20P plug and an included NEMA 5‑20P adapter. It incorporates ISOBAR network‑grade surge and noise suppression rated at 3,840 joules, and a local 20 A circuit breaker for overload protection.

The PDUH20‑ISO fits in a 1U horizontal rack space of an EIA‑standard 19‑inch rack and can also be oriented vertically (0U) or wall/under‑counter mounted using the supplied hardware, making it suitable for distributed IT racks, branch office cabinets, and small network edge enclosures.

It integrates with standard rack ecosystems and facilities power systems; the L5‑20P input mates with typical UPS outputs or facility receptacles, and the mix of 12 NEMA 5‑20R outlets with 2 NEMA 5‑15R outlets on the PDU accommodates a broad range of server, switch, and appliance plugs common in North American IT deployments.

In practical deployment, the PDUH20‑ISO is suitable for single‑rack power distribution where central power management infrastructure (like networked CDU or SNMP PDUs) isn’t required, such as in small datacenters or branch telecom closets. It should not be selected where outlet‑level power monitoring, network management, or redundant power feeds are required (e.g., dual‑feed rack PDUs or G4 networked units).
