The Eaton PDUH20DV is a 1U basic power distribution unit (PDU) engineered to distribute single‑phase AC power to rack‑mounted IT loads. Rack and data center engineers deploy this model in wiring closets, server rooms, and edge racks to provide reliable outlet density for switches, servers, storage and peripheral equipment from a UPS, generator or facility feed.

Rated for 100–240 V AC operation and continuous up to 20 A service, it supplies 14 outlets (12 IEC‑320 C13 + 2 IEC‑320 C19). The unit’s all‑metal housing and reversible mounting ears support installation in EIA‑310‑standard 19″ racks, under‑counter positions, or mounted on walls and workbenches.

This PDU fits basic power distribution points where monitoring or switching functions are not required. It is commonly placed at the rear of network and server racks, in IDFs (Intermediate Distribution Frames) and branch‑office cabinets to centralize AC receptacles.

Integration uses a C20 inlet with included 12 ft (3.66 m) detachable cord, and an included NEMA L6‑20P adapter for 208/240 V sources. There is no on/off switch to prevent accidental equipment shutdowns.

In practice, the PDUH20DV serves deployments with solid grounding and UPS backup where outlet count and basic distribution are primary requirements. It is not designed for switched control, metering, network management, or three‑phase feeds — specify switched or metered PDUs for those capabilities.
