The Eaton PDU1415 is a basic rack‑mount power distribution unit (PDU) engineered to distribute single‑phase AC power to multiple IT loads in structured environments. Integration with rack power ecosystems is simple: there is no local switching, remote metering, or network connectivity, making it suited for basic AC distribution when central UPS or generator feeds are present. Its switchless layout avoids accidental load shutdowns in dense rack positions.

A typical deployment example is distributing UPS or facility mains power to racks of servers, switches, and network appliances in a branch data closet. This PDU is not suitable where outlet‑level metering, switched outlet control, or higher voltage/three‑phase distribution is required; those needs call for metered or managed PDUs instead.
