The Eaton PDU1215 is a 1U horizontal basic power distribution unit (PDU) designed for distributing single‑phase 120 VAC power to multiple pieces of rack‑mounted equipment. It is deployed by data‑center technicians, network engineers, and facilities teams to deliver utility, UPS, or generator power to servers, switches, storage, and network devices in wiring closets, racks, and telecom cabinets. This unit solves the need for reliable multiple outlet distribution without switching or metered electronics.

This model provides thirteen NEMA 5‑15R outlets fed from a NEMA 5‑15P input plug on a 15 ft (4.57 m) power cord, delivering up to 1.8 kW (15 A) total across outputs. A 15 A internal circuit breaker protects the strip against overloads. The all‑metal chassis has a switchless design that prevents accidental shutdowns and supports diverse power sources, including UPS or generator feeds.

The PDU’s 1U, 19‑inch EIA‑310 horizontal form factor is suitable for standard 2‑post and 4‑post racks, and detachable mounting flanges enable installation in wall‑mount or under‑counter orientations. With optional brackets, it can be adapted to 0U vertical mounting in compatible enclosures.
