The StarTech M2E4BTB3 is a high-performance dual-bay NVMe M.2 enclosure that connects to a host system via Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps), enabling ultra-fast external storage expansion. It supports two PCIe M.2 NVMe SSDs (M-Key) and allows configurations in JBOD, RAID 0 (striping), or RAID 1 (mirroring) for performance or redundancy use cases.

Designed for media professionals, engineers, and data-intensive workflows, it delivers up to ~2800 MB/s throughput depending on drive configuration and RAID mode. The aluminum enclosure integrates active cooling with a built-in fan, ensuring thermal stability under sustained workloads such as video editing, backups, and large dataset transfers.

Deployment fits workstation environments requiring portable, high-speed NVMe storage over Thunderbolt. Not suitable for SATA-based M.2 drives or USB-only hosts without Thunderbolt support.
