Overview

The HPE QW971SB is a single-port 16 Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) designed for enterprise server systems requiring high-bandwidth SAN connectivity. It connects via a PCI Express slot to offer reliable upstream links to storage fabrics, enabling virtualization servers, database hosts or backup systems to integrate into a 16 Gb Fibre Channel SAN while remaining backward compatible with 8 Gb and 4 Gb infrastructure. The HBA features a low-profile bracket format for flexible deployment in standard and blade servers, and supports diagnostic and monitoring capabilities for healthy link management.
