Overview

The Eaton B064‑016‑01‑IPG is a Cat5 KVM over IP switch designed to provide centralized keyboard‑video‑mouse control of multiple servers or systems both locally and remotely. It is used by data center operators, server room administrators, and infrastructure teams where consolidated management of up to 16 systems from a single console—with remote access capability—is required. This unit is not a network router or Ethernet switch; it is a secure server console aggregation appliance with IP‑based management.

This KVM supports up to 16 connected computers/servers over structured cabling (Cat5/5e/6) and allows one local user and one remote user to access and control those systems simultaneously. It provides BIOS‑level access and supports virtual media functionality for remote software installation or diagnostics.

The device installs in a standard 1U rack position using included mounting hardware and has a metal chassis for durable deployment in server rooms and data closets. A laptop USB console (LUC) port and front‑panel status indicators support local access and status visibility during setup or maintenance.

Communications are delivered over an Ethernet network interface supporting IPv4 and IPv6, enabling remote management without dedicated server‑resident software. Virtual media support allows remote access to CD/DVD and USB mass storage devices as if locally attached.
