The Eaton B030‑008‑17‑IP is an integrated rack console and KVM switch that combines a built‑in 17″ LCD display, keyboard, and touchpad with an 8‑port HDMI KVM switch and IP remote access capability. It is used by data center technicians, network engineers, and infrastructure teams to provide centralized local and remote management of multiple servers and systems from a single access point. This unit is suited for environments requiring consolidated control of diverse host equipment without dedicating separate monitors/keyboards for each system.

The system supports up to eight HDMI‑connected computers or servers, allowing local switching via on‑console pushbuttons, on‑screen display (OSD), or keyboard hotkeys. Its 17″ 1080p LCD panel gives sufficient visual real estate for standard administrative tasks, and the dual‑rail design enables the keyboard/touchpad assembly to slide independently of the display for efficient rack access.

Remote access is enabled through an integrated Ethernet IP interface, supporting LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity. The unit can host up to 64 authorized user accounts with up to 32 concurrent remote sessions, providing scalable multi‑user management and troubleshooting without physical presence at the rack.

Deployments typically include core or consolidation racks where visibility and remote control of multiple servers, storage controllers, and network appliances are required.
