Overview

The StarTech PEX10GSFP4I is a quad-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet network interface card designed for high-throughput server and workstation environments. It enables direct integration of fiber-based networking using SFP+ transceivers, making it suitable for data centers, virtualization hosts, and storage networks requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity.

Built on the Intel XL710 chipset, the adapter supports up to four independent 10GbE links, delivering scalable bandwidth and redundancy. It supports both single-mode and multi-mode fiber, allowing flexible deployment across different network distances and architectures.

Deployment is via a PCIe 3.0 x8 interface in standard server chassis. It is commonly used in rack servers for link aggregation, failover configurations, and high-density network segmentation. Not suitable for environments requiring RJ45 copper connectivity or systems without available PCIe x8 lanes.
