Overview

The APC SRT192RMBP is a rack‑mountable external battery pack engineered to extend the runtime of compatible APC Smart‑UPS On‑Line SRT UPS systems used in data centers, server rooms, and mission‑critical IT installations. It provides additional DC energy storage so that connected UPS units can sustain loads for longer durations during utility power outages.

This unit uses sealed lead‑acid battery modules configured to deliver a 192 V DC battery bus, matching high‑capacity SRT UPS battery architectures. The internal batteries are hot‑swappable/replacement‑capable, allowing maintenance or replacement without shutting down the UPS or connected equipment when supported by the host UPS design.

Mechanically, the SRT192RMBP occupies a 3U rack footprint and includes a 4‑post rack mounting kit for installation in standard 19‑inch cabinets. It connects to the UPS through a dedicated high‑current DC link (cable and connector included) and can be chained with additional packs on supported systems to scale runtime further.

This external battery pack does not produce AC output on its own—it provides only DC battery capacity. It must be connected to a Smart‑UPS SRT UPS to convert this stored energy to AC for protected loads. It is not a UPS standalone unit and should be paired with appropriate UPS models that support 192 V external batteries.
