The StarTech ST121HD20L is a point-to-point HDMI over Cat6 extender kit designed to transmit Ultra HD 4K @ 60 Hz video over standard Cat6 cabling up to 100 m (330 ft). It enables clean AV deployments without long HDMI runs, using structured cabling infrastructure common in enterprise and commercial environments.

The extender supports HDCP 2.2, 3D video, and full digital audio formats including 7.1 surround, ensuring compatibility with modern AV sources and displays. It also extends bi-directional IR control and RS-232, allowing remote device management from the display side.

Typical deployments include digital signage, conference rooms, control rooms, and retail displays where long-distance, high-resolution video transport is required. It is optimized for direct Cat6 runs and structured cabling. Not suitable for IP-based AV distribution, multi-endpoint matrix systems, or fiber-based long-haul transmission.
