The StarTech ST12MHDLNHK is a HDMI over IP extender kit (transmitter + receiver) designed to distribute Full HD video across a standard LAN infrastructure (Cat5e/Cat6). It enables point-to-point or point-to-multipoint video distribution using existing network switches, eliminating the need for dedicated AV cabling.

It supports 1920×1080 @ 60Hz video with integrated audio over HDMI, using advanced compression (6–12 Mbps per stream) to minimize network load while maintaining consistent image quality. This makes it suitable for digital signage, campuses, control rooms, and multi-display enterprise environments.

The system scales by adding additional receivers (sold separately), allowing multi-display distribution and matrix-style routing over IP networks. Deployment supports both direct Cat6 links (short range) and switched LAN environments. Do NOT use for 4K workflows, ultra-low latency applications, or environments without managed network control when scaling.
