This 1000-foot (304.8 m) roll is specifically engineered for use in plenum spaces—the areas in buildings used for air circulation, such as drop ceilings or raised floors. Because these spaces can facilitate the spread of fire, the WIR5ECMPGRY features a CMP (Plenum) rated jacket made of low-smoke, flame-retardant materials that comply with strict building fire codes.

This cable is constructed with 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors, providing superior signal integrity and conductivity compared to cheaper copper-clad aluminum (CCA) alternatives. It supports data transfer speeds up to 1Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet) and is tested to meet or exceed TIA/EIA-568-B.2 Category 5e standards. The solid core design makes it ideal for long-distance horizontal runs and permanent installations behind walls or in ceilings.
