Overview :

The APC SRTL5KRM2UT is a double-conversion online UPS designed to deliver conditioned power and battery backup for critical IT infrastructure in rack environments. It is deployed by data center engineers, network administrators, and IT infrastructure teams protecting servers, storage arrays, and network equipment from utility disturbances and power outages. The system maintains continuous power availability and ensures controlled shutdown of connected systems during extended outages.

This UPS provides 5000VA / 4900W output capacity and operates within a 208V power ecosystem. The system uses a double-conversion online topology, producing a pure sine wave output with zero transfer time during power events. Input power is supplied through a NEMA L6-30P connector, while output distribution includes two NEMA L6-20R and two NEMA L6-30R outlets for connecting high-draw rack equipment.

The unit is engineered for compact rack deployment, occupying 2U of rack space while supporting rack or tower installation. This design allows integration into IDF racks, edge computing cabinets, branch infrastructure racks, and enterprise server cabinets where space efficiency and high-capacity power protection are required.

The SRTL5KRM2UT incorporates lithium-ion battery technology, providing longer operational lifespan and faster recharge compared with traditional VRLA battery systems. The UPS also includes a pre-installed network management card, enabling remote monitoring, automated shutdown, and integration with centralized power management platforms such as APC infrastructure monitoring systems or SNMP-based management tools.

In real deployments, this UPS commonly supports hypervisor clusters, blade server enclosures, storage arrays, or aggregation switch stacks in enterprise racks. Runtime can be extended by attaching compatible external lithium-ion battery modules, enabling longer backup durations during extended power interruptions.

This model is not suitable for small office desktop environments or low-capacity loads under 1kW. Its electrical requirements, rack mounting design, and high-capacity output make it intended for structured rack infrastructure operating within a 208V power distribution environment.
