The StarTech P4AD122-KVM-SWITCH is a desktop KVM designed to control four DisplayPort-enabled systems using a single console (monitor, keyboard, mouse, and USB peripherals). It supports 4K @ 60Hz (4096×2160) video over DisplayPort 1.2, making it suitable for CAD/CAM, video editing, and high-resolution workstation environments.

The unit enables sharing of USB 3.2 Gen 1 devices and USB 2.0 HID peripherals, along with stereo audio, reducing peripheral duplication across systems. Switching is handled via front-panel buttons or hotkeys, with independent audio/video switching for flexible workflows.

Deployment fits desktop setups, engineering labs, NOCs, and multi-system operator stations where a single-user console is required. It is OS-independent (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS) and supports BIOS-level control. Do NOT use in multi-monitor environments or where matrix/multi-user KVM functionality is required.
