StarTech NOTECONS02-VGA-MDP is a portable laptop‑based crash cart adapter for IT technicians and data center engineers. It converts a laptop into a diagnostic console for headless servers, rack equipment, ATMs, kiosks, and other systems by providing USB keyboard/mouse and video access. The unit includes integrated USB, VGA and a Mini DisplayPort adapter for versatile server connection. No host‑side software installation is required, enabling immediate BIOS/UEFI‑level control.

This adapter supports standard VGA video up to 1920×1200 out of the box and can connect to systems with Mini DisplayPort video via the included MDP‑to‑VGA adapter. It’s self‑powered from the connected USB port, eliminating the need for external power. Ideal for remote troubleshooting, file transfer, and console interaction; NOT intended for high‑performance graphics or multi‑display deployments.
