The Eaton B127M-100-H is a purpose-built HDMI over Cat6 receiver designed for video extension in medical and clinical environments where HDMI sources and displays are separated by long distances. It is deployed by AV engineers and clinical IT teams in hospitals, imaging suites, conference spaces, and surgical theaters that require compliance with stringent EMI/RFI and ESD immunity for safe operation around sensitive medical equipment.

This receiver accepts Cat6/6a cable carrying an HDMI signal (paired with a compatible transmitter or splitter) and outputs a full HDMI 2.0 interface. It supports Ultra High Definition video up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, HDR, 36-bit deep color, and multi-channel digital audio formats including DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD.

In deployment, the B127M-100-H is suitable for extending HDMI signals up to ~230 ft (70 m) over standard structured copper cabling, enabling displays to be placed distant from source equipment without quality loss. It integrates PoC (Power over Cable) technology so that it can be powered through the Cat6 link, eliminating bulky local power supplies at the receiver end.

From an integration standpoint, this receiver pairs with Eaton/Tripp Lite B127M series transmitters or splitters (e.g., B127M-004-H, B127M-101-H) and uses standard HDMI and Cat6 cabling. The unit includes mounting hardware for racks, walls, or poles and does not require software or drivers×making it suitable for structured AV deployments in regulated spaces.

A practical deployment example includes extending surgical imaging or PACS workstation output to remote operating room displays over existing Cat6 infrastructure. By locating the transmitter near the source and receivers at end-point displays, facilities can provide crystal-clear 4K video without installing expensive AV cabling. The PoC feature reduces installation complexity by eliminating local AC outlets at each display location.

This product should not be used where certified Class-D or medical-life-support videography solutions are mandated, nor should it replace networked AV over IP systems when multi-screen or large broadcast infrastructures are required.
