Overview

The Eaton B203-101-PNP is a plug-and-play USB 2.0 over Cat5/Cat6 extender kit designed to extend USB peripheral connectivity beyond standard cable length limitations. It enables reliable USB device operation over structured cabling in enterprise IT, industrial control, kiosks, and remote workstation environments.

The system uses a transmitter and receiver pair to extend USB signals up to 50 meters (164 ft) over standard Cat5/5e/6 cabling while maintaining USB 2.0 high-speed data transfer up to 480 Mbps.

It is typically deployed where USB devices such as printers, scanners, webcams, or industrial peripherals must be located away from the host computer for security, space, or environmental reasons. The kit supports plug-and-play installation with no drivers required and uses PoC (Power over Cable) for simplified remote powering in supported configurations.

This solution is intended for point-to-point USB extension and is not suitable for network-based USB sharing, switching, or high-performance USB 3.x workloads.
