The Eaton N785-INT-SC-MM is a Gigabit multimode fiber-to-Ethernet media converter that connects copper Ethernet to multimode fiber links with SC interfaces. It is used by network and infrastructure engineers to extend 10/100/1000Base-T segments beyond the 100 m copper limit via multimode fiber, enabling remote equipment connectivity in closets, IDFs, campus links, and branch wiring scenarios. This converter addresses link-distance constraints without requiring managed switches at both ends.
The unit provides a single RJ45 10/100/1000Base-T copper port and a duplex SC multimode fiber interface operating at an 850 nm wavelength.
