The Eaton EMPDT1H1C2 Environmental Monitoring Probe (EMP) Gen 2 is a critical component for maintaining optimal conditions within IT infrastructure environments, from enterprise campus racks to remote network closets. This advanced sensor is engineered to provide continuous, real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity, crucial for preventing costly equipment failures caused by environmental fluctuations. This modularity is further extended by its ability to daisy-chain up to three EMPDT1H1C2 probes to a single host device, effectively creating a distributed network of up to six contact sensors per host for comprehensive environmental intelligence across multiple rack locations. Designed for flexible deployment, the probe features a compact form factor with versatile mounting options, including magnets, nylon fasteners, cable tie slots, and keyhole slots, enabling installation virtually anywhere within or near a rack. It is fully compatible with select Eaton UPS systems and Rack PDUs, including the Eaton Gigabit Network Card, and integrates seamlessly with the Eaton Intelligence Platform.
