The HPE C3N53AA is a high‑performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet SR SFP+ Transceiver module engineered by Intel for short-rangemultimode fiber links. Supporting 10 Gb/s data rates over 300 meters of OM3 fiber (and ~400 m over OM4), it features an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and duplex LC connectors. With plug‑and‑play compatibility on HPE ProLiant, Aruba, and switch platforms fitted with SFP+ slots, the C3N53AA provides reliable uplinks, server-to-switch fiber connections, and SAN traffic support in data center or enterprise environments.

It incorporates Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) via I²C for real-time feedback on optical power, temperature, and voltage. Rated for commercial temperature (0–70 °C), the C3N53AA supports consistent fiber performance with optical sensitivity down to –13 dBm and transmit power between –6.5 to –0.5 dBm. Compatible with HPE -compatible switches and servers, it offers both new and refurbished options.
