The Tripp Lite B156-003-V2 is a versatile DisplayPort 1.2 MST Hub that enables connection of up to three HDMI monitors from a single DisplayPort output. Designed for professional digital signage, conference rooms, and multimedia setups, it allows users to extend their desktop, mirror displays, or create immersive video wall configurations with high-resolution UHD output. Its plug-and-play convenience ensures quick setup without the need for additional drivers.

Expanded Overview :

This MST Hub transforms a single DisplayPort 1.2 output into multiple HDMI displays, making it an excellent solution for expanding visual presentations across multiple screens. Whether used for digital signage in commercial spaces, video walls in control rooms, or multi-monitor setups in conference environments, it provides flexible display options, including extended desktops, mirrored screens, or large-format video walls. The support for UHD resolution at 60Hz ensures crisp, detailed images, suitable for high-definition content and professional applications.

Advanced Options :

The compatibility with DisplayPort 1.2 graphics cards, such as AMD Radeon with Eyefinity technology, allows seamless integration into existing systems. Users need to verify bandwidth limitations depending on the total resolution and number of monitors, as the **21.6 Gbps** shared bandwidth can impact display performance. The hub's support for HDCP, EDID, and DDC ensures proper communication between source and displays, enabling protected content playback and optimal resolution settings. This hub's robust design supports various audio formats, including 7.1 surround sound, DTS-HD, and Dolby TrueHD, making it ideal for multimedia and presentation environments. Its straightforward plug-and-play operation and LED indicators provide ease of use, while the built-in 6-inch cable simplifies installation. Compatibility with all major operating systems ensures broad applicability.
