The Fortinet FPM-7620F is a hot-swappable processing module designed for the FortiGate 7000F series chassis. Engineered for high-performance environments, it accelerates network and content processing through dual NP7 and multiple CP9 ASICs, enabling scalable, low-latency security throughput across large enterprise infrastructures.

As a worker module within Fortinet's modular chassis architecture, the FPM-7620F receives sessions load-balanced by FortiGate Interface Modules (FIMs) over the backplane. It features two 400 Gbps data and two 50 Gbps management connections over the chassis fabric, ensuring efficient internal data distribution. On the front panel, this module delivers versatile connectivity through two QSFP-DD interfaces (supporting 400 Gbps, 100 Gbps, 40 Gbps, or split speeds) and eight SFP28 ports capable of 25 Gbps or 10 Gbps links—enabling flexible integration with high-speed networks.

Advanced Options :

Its internal architecture includes dual NP7 network processors for accelerated packet and IPsec traffic, alongside eight CP9 processors that deliver content and session acceleration. These ASICs distribute load via integrated switch fabric across the module for consistent performance.
