When paired with select Pro Curve 2900/3500yl/6200yl switches, it delivers redundant backup and power extension capabilities×ideal for stable VoIP or surveillance deployments.

This external unit acts both as an additional power source and PoE booster. It offers 195 W of system RPS power per port (two ports) and up to 398 W of PoE power per port for PoE-enabled switches.
