The Black Box LB532A-R-R2 Remote Unit is designed to extend 10/100 BASE-TX Ethernet in harsh and remote environments using a single G.SHDSL pair. It connects seamlessly with the local LB532A-L-R2 unit to deliver reliable LAN connectivity for devices like IP cameras, sensors, and industrial controllers—up to 6.4 miles (10 km) away over CAT5/5e/6 cable.

Built to withstand operating temperatures from –40 °F to +185 °F (–40 °C to +85 °C), the LB532A-R-R2 excels in transportation, manufacturing, and outdoor installations. Its IP-40-rated aluminum enclosure ensures dust protection and industrial durability; mounting is made easy with an included DIN-rail clip. The integrated 4-port 10/100 BASE-TX switch allows you to connect multiple devices locally, while Auto-MDIX on every port eliminates cable type concerns.

Advanced Options :

The LB532A-R-R2 supports higher-layer protocols transparently—VLAN tagging, IPsec VPN, multicast, MODBUS/TCP, PROFINET IO, and more—making it fully compatible with any Layer 2 network. Featuring auto-rate functionality, it optimizes connection speed up to the full 15 Mbps G.SHDSL capacity but adapts dynamically to line quality. Configuration can be managed via DIP switches or Telnet for flexible deployment.
