The APC SMT1500CNC is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to protect critical IT assets against power disturbances in 120 V single‑phase environments. It is deployed by network and system engineers to provide short‑duration backup power and line conditioning for servers, storage systems, networking equipment, VoIP/UC systems, and point‑of‑sale hardware during brownouts, surges, and outages.

Rated at 1440 VA / 1000 W, the UPS delivers pure sine‑wave output and incorporates Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to stabilise incoming mains voltage without unnecessary battery discharge. Its line‑interactive topology reduces transfer time during power events and supports efficient operation in commercial and enterprise settings.

The SMT1500CNC is packaged in a tower form factor with an LCD display for real‑time status and diagnostics, making it suitable for server closets, retail network rooms, and small data environments where rackmount space isn’t mandatory. Connectivity includes USB and serial ports, an Ethernet SmartConnect port, and a pre‑installed Network Management Card (NMC) for remote monitoring and integration with APC EcoStruxure IT or third‑party SNMP platforms.

This UPS is not suitable for deployment in 208 V/230 V mains systems without the appropriate regional variant and is optimised for tower installations rather than 19″ rack mounting
