Overview :

The APC SMT1000CUS is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to protect small to medium IT systems and network gear from power disturbances including sags, surges, brownouts, and outages. It is typically deployed by IT engineers and infrastructure technicians in 120 V single‑phase environments to provide short‑duration backup power and voltage regulation for servers, VoIP systems, storage, and networking devices.

This unit delivers 1000 VA / 700 W capacity using line‑interactive topology with pure sine‑wave output, and includes Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to stabilise incoming utility voltage without discharging the battery unnecessarily. The built‑in LCD provides real‑time status including load, voltage, and runtime.

Designed in a compact tower form factor, the SMT1000CUS fits office racks, network closets, and workstations where space is limited. It includes eight NEMA 5‑15R outlets for distributed device connections and supports SmartConnect cloud‑based monitoring as well as optional network management cards via SmartSlot for integration with APC’s centralised management systems.

Typical runtime at moderate load levels supports orderly shutdowns or bridging to standby generators, and the user‑replaceable lead‑acid battery simplifies maintenance without disrupting connected equipment.

This UPS is not suited for high‑availability data centre core racks or 208 V/230 V distribution without the appropriate regional model, nor for extended runtime without external battery extensions.
