APC SMT3000C is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply designed to deliver battery‑backed power protection for critical desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network devices operating on 120 V AC power. IT infrastructure teams and small business administrators deploy this UPS to maintain uptime during utility outages, voltage fluctuations, and brownouts that can disrupt operations or cause data loss.

The unit provides 3000 VA / 2700 W output capacity with a pure sine‑wave output, ensuring compatibility with modern server‑grade power supplies and active PFC loads. Its line‑interactive topology integrates Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct undervoltage and overvoltage conditions without immediately switching to battery support, preserving runtime for actual power interruptions.

In a tower form factor, SMT3000C is suited for rack‑adjacent placement in server rooms, network closets, or office infrastructure spaces. Power input is provided via a NEMA 5‑15P connector, and the rear panel features a mix of eight battery‑backed NEMA 5‑15R outlets and two surge‑only NEMA 5‑15R outlets, enabling segmented protection of critical versus non‑critical equipment.

Management connectivity includes USB and serial communication ports for integration with automated shutdown software and monitoring tools. The UPS also features SmartConnect remote monitoring, enabling cloud‑based status and alerting without the need for dedicated on‑premises management hardware.

Internal sealed lead‑acid batteries provide ride‑through time sufficient for orderly shutdowns: approximately 10–12 minutes at half load and around 4–5 minutes at full load. Batteries are hot‑swappable and user‑replaceable, and recharge time after a discharge event is typically around 4–6 hours.
