Overview :

The APC SMT1500IC is a line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) built for 230 V single‑phase environments to provide conditioned power and short‑duration backup for critical IT equipment. It is deployed by network and data‑centre engineers to protect servers, network switches, storage, telecom gear, and edge infrastructure against utility power disruptions such as brownouts, surges, and outages.

Rated at 1500 VA / 1000 W, this UPS uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to stabilise input voltage variations without discharging the battery whenever possible, preserving battery life. Output power during outage conditions is delivered as a pure sine‑wave, ensuring compatibility with active PFC power supplies and sensitive electronics.

The unit is packaged in a tower form factor with a graphical LCD status display providing real‑time information on load level, battery status, and input/output voltages. It includes multiple IEC C13 outlets to support distributed loads in server rooms, small data centres, and enterprise closets.

Management and remote monitoring capabilities include a SmartConnect Ethernet port for cloud‑based UPS monitoring and alerts, a SmartSlot for optional expansion cards, and standard USB/serial interfaces for local communications and graceful shutdown integration with centralised power management platforms.
