Overview :

The IMC1GSFP60W is a hardened industrial media converter designed to bridge fiber optic infrastructure with high-power copper Ethernet devices. It serves as both a media converter and a high-capacity PoE injector, delivering up to 60W of power (PoE++) to remote Power-over-Ethernet devices. This unit is specifically engineered for deployment in harsh environments such as warehouses, factories, and outdoor surveillance cabinets where standard networking hardware would fail due to temperature extremes.

Technically, the device features an open SFP slot, providing the flexibility to use any MSA-compliant Gigabit SFP transceiver for either single-mode or multi-mode fiber runs. On the copper side, it provides a 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 port that supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE), 802.3at (PoE+), and 60W Ultra PoE standards. It supports Link Fault Pass-Through (LFPT) to ensure network administrators are alerted to link failures across the fiber-to-copper transition, and it handles jumbo frames up to 16K for efficient data transfer.

The converter is housed in a rugged IP-30 rated aluminum enclosure and is rated for operation in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 75°C (-40°F to 167°F). It features dual power inputs (terminal block or barrel connector) for redundancy and includes hardware for both DIN rail and wall-mount installations. It is not recommended for use in environments where the input voltage is outside the 48V-56V DC range required for PoE operation.
