Designed for campus edge or branch office deployments, it's optimized for powering VoIP phones, wireless APs, and IP cameras via its 170 W PoE+ budget. The 1 RU rack-mount design, rich Layer‑2 and static routing features, and support for HPE Intelligent Resilient Fabric (IRF) stacking make this Ethernet Switch ideal for scalable, secure SMB and enterprise networks.

The 5120 SI Ethernet Switch  series enables enterprise connectivity with robust performance and simplified management. Built-in stacking using HPE IRF lets up to four Ethernet Switch operate as one logical unit, increasing redundancy and reducing complexity. It supports advanced features such as VLANs, link aggregation (LACP), ACLs, QoS, IPv4 static routing, and OSPF/RIP routing, along with DHCP snooping, IGMP/MLD snooping, and storm control to mitigate abuse. Configuration options include CLI, web UI, SNMP, and HPE IMC integration.
