The Ergotron Zip12 DM12-1012-1 is a desktop charging cabinet designed to organize, secure, and charge portable computing devices in schools, offices, training rooms, and shared technology environments. Its durable steel construction, adjustable device compartments, and integrated cooling system make it suitable for managing a collection of tablets and compact laptops in one convenient location.
Flexible Storage for Different Devices
The Zip12 accommodates compatible tablets, Chromebooks, Ultrabooks, MacBooks, and laptops with displays up to 14 inches. Adjustable dividers allow the cabinet to be configured for different device widths. It supports up to 12 devices using 1.1-inch-wide slots or up to 8 devices using wider 1.9-inch slots.
Devices must fit within the maximum supported dimensions of 15.3 inches wide by 9.7 inches high, including their protective cases and connected cables.
PowerShuttle Charging Technology
Ergotron's PowerShuttle technology helps distribute charging power efficiently while monitoring the cabinet's electrical load to reduce the risk of circuit overload. The system determines how many devices can charge simultaneously based on available power. The cabinet uses the AC adapters supplied with the individual devices.
Cooling and Ventilation
Continuous-operation cooling fans and ventilation openings help manage heat generated by stored devices during charging. Proper ventilation helps maintain a suitable operating environment for the equipment.
Secure Steel Construction
The cabinet features durable steel doors with a three-point locking mechanism and keyed access. An additional padlock can be used for extra security. The cabinet can also be secured to a compatible worksurface using the supplied security hardware.
Convenient Setup and Cable Management
The removable top panel provides access for setup and cable organization. An integrated 12-outlet power strip accommodates compatible device AC adapters, including many larger adapter designs. The cabinet is supplied assembled and can be stacked with a second compatible unit using the provided securing hardware.
