The Yealink EHS61 is an Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) adapter engineered for IT staff, facility managers, and procurement specialists. It solves the workflow problem of manually handling a desk phone handset by providing a direct technical interface between a Yealink DECT headset and a compatible IP desk phone.

The adapter translates control signals and audio pathways to enable hands-free call management from the headset, allowing users to answer, end, hold, and mute calls without touching the phone base. The EHS61 operates with a plug-and-play design, requiring no software drivers or complex configuration.

Deployment is for high-call-volume environments such as corporate offices, call centers, healthcare facilities, government agencies, educational institutions, and financial services. Compatible desk phone platforms include Mitel, Unify, and Yealink T2X and T4XG series IP phones.

Critical compatibility note: The EHS61 works exclusively with the new hardware V1 revisions of WH62 and WH63 DECT headsets, identifiable by the "EHS61 Supported" label on the product packaging or a "V1" logo on the headset base. Do not attempt to use this adapter with earlier hardware revisions (lacking the EHS61 label), non-Yealink headsets, or phones outside the verified compatibility list. The headset base also requires a specific firmware version to support EHS61 functionality.
