The HPE R2X10A (Instant On AP17) is an outdoor dual‑band Wi‑Fi 5 access point designed for small to medium business environments requiring rugged wireless coverage in outdoor or semi‑outdoor locations. It supports 802.11ac Wave 2 technology with a 2x2 MIMO configuration delivering up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz for a combined theoretical throughput of 1.17 Gbps. It includes a single Gigabit Ethernet uplink port and is powered via 802.3af PoE (power injector or switch required) making it suitable for mounting on walls or poles in patio, pool‑side, drive‑through or external warehouse deployment. The enclosure is weather‑rated for outdoor installation and integrates with the Instant On mobile app and cloud portal for simplified configuration and management of multiple access points within the same network.
