Overview
The Ubiquiti U7-MESH-US U7 Mesh is a compact WiFi 7 access point designed for indoor and outdoor deployments. It combines a 2.5GbE Ethernet uplink with a long-range integrated antenna system, wireless meshing, and mounting options for wall, pole, or tabletop installation.
Wireless Performance
The U7 Mesh uses 2x2 MIMO on both its 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz radios. The 5 GHz radio supports up to 4.3 Gbps using 240 MHz channel bandwidth, while the 2.4 GHz radio supports up to 688 Mbps using 40 MHz bandwidth. The access point provides four spatial streams and supports WiFi 7, WiFi 6, WiFi 5, and WiFi 4 clients.
Network Connectivity
A single 2.5GbE RJ45 port provides the wired network uplink and PoE connection. The U7 Mesh also supports wireless meshing, allowing it to operate within a UniFi wireless mesh deployment where appropriate.
Antennas and Deployment
The integrated antenna system provides 6 dBi omnidirectional and 10 dBi directional gain on 5 GHz, with 3 dBi gain on 2.4 GHz. The enclosure can be mounted on a wall, pole, or table stand using the included mounting hardware. When installed with the outdoor mount, the access point has IPX6 weather protection.
Key Features
- WiFi 7 with four spatial streams
- Up to 4.3 Gbps maximum 5 GHz data rate
- 2.5GbE RJ45 Ethernet uplink with PoE
- Integrated long-range antenna system with directional and omnidirectional 5 GHz coverage
- IPX6 protection when installed with the outdoor mount
Applications
The U7 Mesh is suited to UniFi wireless networks requiring flexible indoor or outdoor access-point placement, including deployments where wired Ethernet is available at the access point or where wireless meshing is used to extend coverage.
DC Supplies Product Note
For outdoor installation, use the included outdoor mounting configuration as specified by Ubiquiti to obtain the stated IPX6 protection; the weatherproofing rating is tied to installation with the outdoor mount.
