Overview :

The NETGEAR WAX608Y-111NAS is a dual-band WiFi 6 outdoor wireless access point designed for commercial and residential outdoor installations. It provides AX1800 wireless performance and weather-resistant deployment for extending managed wireless coverage beyond indoor environments. NETGEAR specifies IP55 protection against water and dust.

The access point provides up to 1.8 Gbps total WiFi throughput and uses one 2.5GBASE-T RJ45 Ethernet port. The Ethernet interface supports IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Power over Ethernet, with a specified PoE power consumption of up to 16.1 W.

WAX608Y supports up to 8 wireless SSIDs, VLAN control per SSID, WPA3 security, mesh operation, and NETGEAR Insight management. It is suitable for outdoor residential, hospitality, commercial, and integrator deployments. It should not be selected where WiFi 6E/7 or more than one wired Ethernet port is required.
