Overview

The Ubiquiti WAVE‑AP‑MICRO‑US is a compact outdoor Point‑to‑Multipoint access point operating in the 60 GHz band to deliver high‑capacity wireless links to compatible subscriber units. It builds high‑speed backhaul for short‑range connections using 60 GHz LOS propagation and integrates a backup 5 GHz Wi‑Fi radio for resilience. A single Gigabit Ethernet PoE port provides data and power while the IPX6 weather‑resistant enclosure supports exposed outdoor deployments. This unit is used in micro‑cell extensions, campus links, and dense urban wireless bridging where fiber or wired backhaul is impractical.
