The HPE Aruba R2W95‑61001, also known as the Instant On AP11, is a compact dual-band Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2) access point designed for small offices, retail spaces, or home-office deployments. It delivers up to 1167 Mbps combined throughput (867 Mbps on 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz), powered through a single Gigabit PoE uplink. Its sleek, wall-/ceiling-mountable design and user-friendly Instant On app-based configuration make setup fast and intuitive, especially for non-IT managed environments

The AP11 features 2×2 MIMO radios across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, offering solid performance on legacy and Wave 2 compatible clients. A single Gigabit RJ‑45 port supports PoE‑in and seamlessly powers the unit without external adapters. With internal omni-directional antennas (~5.8 dBi gain), installation is simple and discreet. The device supports WPA2, WPA3 and Opportunistic Wireless Encryption (OWE) for enhanced security, and includes BLE for client support. Aruba’s Instant On platform delivers cloud-based or mobile-app-driven setup, analytics, guest access controls, and monitoring—no controller needed.
