TRENDnet TEW-840APBO Outdoor AC867 PoE Access Point
Overview :
The TRENDnet TEW-840APBO is an outdoor directional PoE access point engineered for reliable point-to-point wireless bridging applications. This device is designed to extend network connectivity to remote or outdoor locations where physical cabling is impractical. It is the ideal solution for connecting separate buildings, deploying security cameras, or providing wireless backhaul, serving environments that demand robust, long-range wireless links. Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the access point features a durable IP56 weather-rated housing. This ensures protection against dust and powerful water jets, making it suitable for year-round outdoor deployment. Internally, the TEW-840APBO is equipped with a high-gain 14 dBi directional antenna and leverages 5GHz WiFi AC867 technology to deliver stable, high-speed connectivity over significant distances. MU-MIMO technology further enhances performance by processing multiple data streams simultaneously. Deployment is simplified through the inclusion of a proprietary Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector, which delivers both power and data over a single Ethernet cable. This model offers versatile installation with support for multiple operational modes, including Access Point, WDS Bridge, WDS Access Point, WDS Station, and Client Bridge, allowing it to adapt to a wide variety of network topologies. It includes both wall and pole mounting hardware for flexible installation.
