TRENDnet TEW-840APBO2K 14 dBi AC867 Outdoor PoE Bridge Kit

Detailed Specifications

The TRENDnet TEW-840APBO2K is an outdoor preconfigured point-to-point bridge kit designed to simplify the creation of long-range wireless links. Engineered for installers and network administrators, this kit provides a reliable solution for connecting two separate locations, such as office buildings, warehouses, or remote sites, without the need for physical cabling. It addresses the challenge of extending network connectivity over distances where trenching for fiber or copper is impractical or cost-prohibitive, delivering stable, high-speed wireless performance. At its core, the kit leverages the 802.11ac WiFi standard to achieve data rates up to 867 Mbps on the 5GHz frequency band. This high-throughput capability is supported by integrated 14 dBi directional antennas, which focus the wireless signal for enhanced range and clarity. The preconfigured and pre-encrypted nature of the two included access points significantly reduces installation time and complexity, allowing for rapid deployment with minimal technical overhead. This turnkey approach ensures a secure and optimized connection right out of the box. Designed for durability in harsh environments, each unit in the TEW-840APBO2K kit features a robust IP56 weather-rated housing. The included pole and wall mounting hardware provides flexible installation options. Power is supplied via proprietary Power over Ethernet (PoE) injectors, which deliver both power and data over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying the wiring process. This combination of performance, ease of deployment, and rugged construction makes it an ideal solution for extending enterprise networks outdoors.
